按照计划，今天圣地亚哥“登山队”要攀登一座小山，据说比上次爬的“三姐妹瀑布”要容易一些，但是大家都已经吓破了胆，所以依然是全副武装，食品，水等物品充分准备，确保不再出现上次的狼狈局面。
计划10点出发，可是直到11点多才成行，一辆商务车，6名队员，他们凑齐了来接我，然后向洛杉矶方向进发，大约40分钟抵达目的地。简单的停车，拿起装备，便想着山脚下进发了。早晨还有点假阴天，当我们向目标进发的时候，太阳已经明晃晃的了。
在山脚下的入口处，我们查阅了一些这里的信息，知道到达我们设定的目标需要步行5公里左右，这比上次直线距离就少了将近一半，让我们顿觉安心。
山区植被异常丰富，从杂草，到灌木一直到参天大树都可以见到。地表略显干旱，因为这里一年也不会下很多雨，所以植被的耐旱性很强，有些草类看起来没有雨林地貌植物那种油光碧绿的感觉，却多了些沙漠或者盐碱地植被的特征。
一路上都有精力说说笑笑，接近两点钟抵达目标，这里也是一个小瀑布，但是那种迷你的感觉让人无法激动，只能说是一尺高的落差的溪水，水很清澈，水边岩石上长满了碧绿的青苔。这里比一路走来的地方差异很大，到处是嶙峋的怪石，于是我们找了块平坦的大石头，坐下来喝水吃东西，有些人下去蹚水，也算是“会当凌绝顶了”。
下午4点钟，我们开始返回，虽然道路平坦，但是仍然行走了一个半小时才抵达入口处，大家都出汗了，期间在路上发现了一条响尾蛇，不是很长，但是很威风的样子，证明美国的山里面的确有很多响尾蛇，据说这样一条小蛇就可以毒死一头牛，非常恐怖，我们拍照后迅速离开了，一路提醒遇到的刚刚进来的游客，前面有蛇，务必小心。
